Their english,... not so great. . Mostly I buy standard western type food, but when I was looking for vitamin K what came up was something called Nattō. It's difficult to find, but they have it. There is also plenty there for western tastes. . They have different nattō now. KIN NO TSUBU TOROMMAME
This is a busy, busy store. The foot traffic and sales are quite consistent. The store is clean, well stocked and has great selection. I was pleased to find that they carry many teas by "Prince of Peace" brand, direct from China. If you are reading this and love tea, you have to try Prince of Peace Jasmine Green Tea. They carry it here. It is delicious tea, and their prices are super reasonable. I will give this market five stars. 💫💫💫💫💫 Oh, and on an ending note, give yourself time to find parking. The lot isn't big by any stretch, but you'll be fine. It's much more difficult to get parking in plenty of other places in Philly. Stay safe out there, and happy shopping! 🛒
Good selection of products, I always come here to get my vegetables as they are good price and fresh
Pretty good selection of products, very fresh seafood department, and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
great international store of ALL asian items ( most items i had no idea what they were but used translate on phone , 1st time it came in very handy) i was looking for oolong tea & the lil sucky candies in pear they give out at many local chinese & japenese stores. i was so excited to find the candies at the checkout area for only 2.50 a bag( amazon had for 5.oo more) same with several teas.. i also tried a few more at the great prices ( 1.99 to 3.50 per box on most) very different from our american oolong brands- and each brand can actually have a different taste as all brewed n from leaves from different regions) One good thing I can still say about Northeast philly is we have many cultures and now many new stores of different cultures. I find it fun to try other foods. And, yes i fear a lot of spices with having belly issues- items like teas in the asian store, or breads n other meals in the russian ( georgine, ukrainne, ect.) stores. we still have a few jewish delis with amazing begals n whitefish salad, italian delis with great sandwiches and cheeses. sure our food stores now sell almost everything. BUT, for actual real authentic Asian foods- NO1 has it all. even live fish!
